our sugar rush valentine’s day…

{february 14}

mia’s first valentine’s day!!

valentine’s day fell on a tuesday this year which meant mama had to work, so I made sure that my valentines had all their surprises all set up before I went to bed the night before so that they had them in the morning when they woke up!! we made those cute mailboxes as a craft earlier in the month… I made mia’s for her & mollie picked out pink for her & aqua for mia!

unfortunately, mollie ran a fever all day & got sick when I got home from work which doesn’t make for a very fun valentines day, we spent lots of time in the bath tub & bribing with chocolates to get her to drink…

I am so lucky!! I have a husband & 2 babies that love me & that I love so much! our in thewords of mollie “lub sooo much!!”

our weekend…

{february 20}

friday, while I was at work, nick took the girls to gander…

then when I got home from work, me & the girls hit the mall while nick went to work… it seems that friday night is mall night… I don’t shop its just nice to get out!! mia finally liked riding in the stroller this weekend!! thank god, because last weekend at disney she wouldn’t ride in it at all barely but this weekend she was all for it & actually falling asleep while I pushed her!! yay!!!

while mollie & I ate dinner at the food court, this cutie smiled away at us!

saturday, nick was off!!! saturday morning I made two appointments to get the girls pictures done, but they wouldn’t let me use two coupons in one day so we only did mia’s & we are going to go back & do mollie’s which was good, because mollie wanted nothing to do with having her picture taken.  then we went home for naps… long naps… & then we went to city place! it dressed the girls in their first cute matching outfits!! love!!

we ate dinner down at city place at panera & it was so nice to sit outside & eat dinner!! while we ate dinner mia sat on my lap & chewed away on her hand.

after dinner we walked down to rita’s & nick & mollie shared rita’s at the fountains.

sunday, us girls met auntie ashley at church & daddy had to work.  after church we got some lunch & did naps & after naps, we went & got ice cream & took it to the park & had an ice cream picnic!

after the park we went home & I gave the girls one big bath together & they both seemed to love it!!

monday, was no school. yay!! nick & mollie headed to walmart in the morning for a few things & I said home with this cutie & she played & loved her floor gym, like loved it!!

when they got home, nick watched the girls & he said I could go out & I could do whatever, so I went to the mall alone!! ah, peace & quiet!! then I went home & nick went out to the shooting range & then work… its nice to be able to get out alone sometimes! when I got home both girls were napping & when they woke up I tried mia out in her walker she liked it but she needs a few more weeks before she can really sit up in it…

while I was putting away our valentine decorations mollie was playing with our easter eggs & the egg coloring cups from last year & I looked down & she was sorting them by colors…. so smart & organized… she gets that from her mama! ha!

mia hit the gym for about another hour after her nap while mollie & I cleaned out her toybox looking for toys to donate that we don’t need anymore!

we had a really fun, relaxing weekend!!

mia’s three months old!!

mia, you turned three months old on february 2, 2012

oh, mia kate, we love you soooo much!

you are still so little to me… maybe because your sister seems so big to me …. you are just starting to fit in 3 month outfits! when you went to the doctor a little after you turned two months old for your 2 month checkup & shots you weighed 11 lbs 4 oz… I would guess that you weigh close to 12 lbs. now!

you are becoming a better sleeper! your ready for bed by 7pm, sometimes earlier… & you were sleeping until either 3, 4 or 5am & waking for a bottle & then back down to sleep until around 6:30/7am.  Then you woke up one night at midnight & now you are getting up twice at night to eat around midnight & then a few hours later…

you are still sleeping in our room in the pack n play in the little lamb seat just like your sister did… you both just seem to love it, although you also like to lay flat… so you could probably do with out it?!

you like your minnie mouse & a few other toys like the little birdie chime for your carseat that you got for christmas…

you love bath time… you kick your feet & coo & smile at us & then there are some times when you just get mad in the bath & you scream til we take you out.  when we give mollie a bath you like to sit in the bathroom with us & hear the bath water running.. you are as happy as can be while the water is running but as soon as it is shut off…. you are mad!

you have been drooling & sucking away at your hand… your shirts are always now covered in drool…

you still only drink 4 oz bottles every two to three hours & sometimes right before bed you will drink a 6 or 7 oz bottle!
