1st Trip to the Zoo & A Birthday Party

So we tried to take Mollie to the zoo Friday night but it was closed due to a Tropical storm or depression or a shower acutally that we had in the morning. :( Mollie was all set with her zoo animals dress & matching headband!

We got all the way to the zoo, it was sunny, but they were closed so we went down to City Place for dinner & to walk around.  We took Mollie down by the fountains so she could walk around, yes, walk, she is officially walking now!! Then we had dinner at Cheesecake Factory!

We decided to go to the zoo early Saturday morning before Jake's birthday party & before it got way too hot out!

Nick & I were looking at some animal & we turned around &

Mollie was looking at this peacock right in front of her stroller!

The birds were her favorite part because they were loose

& walking in front of her stroller.

We left the zoo just in time, right before it got way too hot!  Mollie napped while Nick & I went to lunch, we went home & changed & were off to Jake's 1st birthday party!

I can't believe our babies are a year old already!! Well, Mollie isn't yet but she is pretty darn close!

Just another fun weekend....

Our Walking Talking True Love...

Yep that's right! Mollie is walking!  She stands up on her own & walks practically across the room!  I won the bet! Nick & I had a bet on whether she would walk before 10 months or after 10 months. I said before 10 months & she's doing it!

This is a video of her walking with her lawn mower.  She isn't so great with the lawn mower cause she leans on it too much & falls. She does much better on her own.. but this is what I actually could get on camera!

We are hoping to go to the zoo tomorrow night!! They have "Safari Nights" during the summer with music & animals & the carousel & the fountains.... BUT we have a tropical something coming & it is suppose to come tomorrow! :( BOO! I am hoping it stays dry so we can go... after all we haven't had rain in forever & usually the weathermen are wrong.. Plus Mollie has a really cute zoo animal dress & an elephant barrette!?

In other news... we officially have to start sending Mollie to daycare in the fall when I go back to school! :(  So we went 2 weeks ago & checked out all the local places.  We wanted to send her to daycare with her friend Jake, but they don't have anything available for her til March 1st.  So next week we are going to open house at the place we selected & we are signing her up! :( The good news is that while we were there visiting, she totally loved the kids!  She was jibber jabbering away at them & moving her arms all around.  I think she will love the interaction with the kids. :)

THANKFUL ON THURSDAY

We are very thankful that we got to keep Mollie home with us for almost the whole 1st year of her life!!  We are thankful that our schedule worked out & Mollie got the chance to go to "Daddy's Daycare"! :)

She's got some moves...

Mollie was playing in her toy box this morning when she came across her singing purse.  She moved the zipper so that it would play music & she started dancing.  It was too cute!

We had dinner at the table last night.  Mollie ate some sphagetti & least what she could get in her mouth.  Then I took her tray off & pushed her seat up to the table like us & she loved it she was banging her hands on the table & then she started shaking the table & then our little teether tried to bite it & that's when I said no more. It hurt my teeth just thinking about it, ofcourse it didn 't bother her though.

Yesterday after dinnner, I was working on my plants on the porch. So I put some water in Mollie's pool & let her play in it for a bit. She loves water.  She started trying to drink the water out of her bucket... ;/

And this little girl that I once had to hold on her horsey...

Well... no more!

Oh & just for giggles... remember the little girl in the last post that snuck past our baracade.. well :)

She looked over to her daddy with her cute face for help, but it didn't work.:)

Sneaky Girl & Mollie's 1st Birthday!

Well, since Mollie is on the move & into everything we have to baracade her off from areas she isn't allowed.  She decided that she didn't like my baracades & just snuck her chubby little belly right past & made a run crawl for it! How does a 9 month old know to sneak past this baracade? Shouldn't she just sit their & cry cause she can't get past it??? ;)

She also loves going to the end of the ottoman & running back to the couch holding onto the ottoman. She laughs so hard & gets such a kick out of it!

And.... Mollie's 1st Birthday is quickly coming up!! We can't believe how fast she has grown & all the stuff she can do! I tell Nick almost everyday, where did my baby go??? :( I am so excited about her 1st birthday party & started planning it already! It is going to be a...

1 step, 2 steps, 3 steps.....

I feel like I haven't put anything up on Mollie's blog in forever but we have been busy, busy, busy.  And now that we have a little girl who is practically walking and into everything I can no longer sit at the computer and download pictures and then put them up on her blog while she sits and plays with her toys.  I need eyes in the back of my head for that! :o) So let me catch you up!

Mollie had her 9 month check up!! Yippee, she is 18lbs & 28 3/4 inches tall!! The doctor was not very nice (not our usually pediatrician, she was on vacation :(...) she made us wait in the room for 50 minutes and then when she came in she said "Does she do so big?" no.., "Does she wave bye?" no..., "does she say mama and dada?" no..., well she says dada I told the dr., She said oh well she should be doing all that! She now does "so big"

She wasn't friendly, then she said "Oh her soft spot is closed already, it isn't suppose to close for another 9 months, you are going to have to get that x-rayed!" So of course I was worried about it & ofcourse another visit to what I feel like is our "Vacation home" the hospital! The xrays turned out ok and her skull still has room to grow for her brain!

And she finally says "MAMA!!!" finally!

She is walking all over the place if you hold her hands or she is holding on to the furniture! She also just stands up on her own with no help and takes 3 steps and then falls over! :)

She is getting her top 2 middle teeth along with the 2 on the sides of the top 2 middle teeth, so needless to say our princess is not sleeping well at all! :(

We are starting on some finger foods... she has tried watermelon, toast, pancakes & cheese...

For the 4th of July, we did our tradition with the Ramos family...food & fireworks & we hope that Nick doesn't catch their house on fire! ;) This is our 4th year doing the 4th of July with them, Mollie's 1st, last year she was in the belly...:) Although DJ and Alexia had a 30 minute conversation insisting she was here last 4th of July! ha ha so cute!

Oh, and EVERYTHING is a phone to Mollie!! It is so funny.  She puts it up to her ear & giber jabers.

She also did it with the watermelon I gave her but I missed that picture!

 I think you are caught up... no I have to go clean up that mess behind her on the floor!
